Okay, one more event for this weekend that you can't miss..............
Starting today at 4:00pm, the 4th annual Oktoberfest in McKinney opens it's doors or entire downtown, rather!
Set in the Historic Downtown of McKinney, there will be food, fun and beer all of the GERMAN variety.
If you're off work early today (Friday), you can gather in in front of the Main Stage for the Opening Ceremonies at 6:00pm. Where you can watch dignitaries officially tap the first keg of Franconia, by hammering the bronze spout into an over 200 year old keg with a wooden mallet!
If you've never been to Downtown McKinney, you're missing out on a beautiful historic setting, over 100 shops and restaurants to browse.

Don't leave the kids at home! There is plenty for them to do with interactive activities, face painting, petting zoo and arts and crafts of all types.
