Dear ol' Freddie is shown here on the black and white side, which my newborn seems to love. My little one loves tracking the little firefly pillows that hang off the wings on each side as they are in multiple colors and their bright eyes seem to pop!  There is a little glowing light at the bottom of the firefly that changes color with the music as well which she seems to like as well. 

The mobile was very simple to set up - just a click and a pop and throw in a few AA batteries and you're ready to go.  The arm to attach the mobile to the crib seems very sturdy and you can loosen and tighten depending on the style of your crib. 

I do wish there was another way to hang the mobile in other rooms of the house, like from a table or couch in the living room - as Baby O. likes to spend time on a blanket on the floor. Oh, well that's not a deal breaker for me at all.

So, if you're looking for a great crib mobile, I'd definitely recommend Freddie & Friends Musical Mobile - it's very engaging with the flapping wings and lights, visually stimulating with the black & white block prints and soothing with the musical selections.

All Natural Bath & Body Products at BuyProvence.com [Review & Giveaway]

Often times, it's hard to find natural and eco-friendly bath and body products that do the job and aren't lacking in some areas.

I'm always wishing they had more scent (without being irritating of course) or that they'd still have that lather ability (without all the noxious chemicals).

I tried ALPHANOVA's Organic Cold Cream on both of my girls, and it worked beautifully. I hate greasy formulas, which this was not!  This hypoallergenic cream hydrated and absorbed quickly without any greasy residue.

Did I mention and the scent was magnificent, wait.....it's "Fragrance Free" that means that scent is from all-natural ingredients. Nice!

ALPHANOVA Princesse Body Wash ($13.80)

Another product BuyProvence.com sent us to try was the Princesse Body Wash from ALPHANOVA.  Which little girl doesn't like to feel like a princess when they're taking a bath or shower?  A lovely light strawberry fragrance floated by my nose when we were using this product. My daughter had NO skin reactions when using this product either! Great.

Only issue I noticed, my little peanut is used to using a wet washcloth while bathing to wipe her eyes if any water splashes in them - and this product is not Tear-Free - so you could have trouble on your hands if your child is not old enough to be careful about keeping the product out of their eyes.

Finally, for our favorite part of bath-time............THE BUBBLES! ALPHANOVA's Princesse Bubble Bath, which my toddler asks for every day now makes a mountain of bubbles. So now we can have even MORE fun in the bathtub!

Classy & Functional Diaper Bag by Donna Sharp [Review & Giveaway] Ends 9/30

Donna Sharp, gave me the opportunity to try their Diaper Bag in Licorice and it couldn't have come at a better time.  I just had my second bambino, 8 weeks ago and had to figure out how I was going to carry my "supplies" for both Big Sister and Baby O.

One main criteria I have when choosing diaper bags is POCKETS. I hate searching through a big bag for tiny items, and love to have many pockets for organization. This baby has it all!

I was happy to find, there are 6 great pockets inside for hiding away onesies, socks, bottles, pacifiers, you name it - and a cool interior water-resistant leopard print design to boot!

Wait, we're not done with the pockets yet. The front of Donna Sharp's Diaper Bag has a great long zippered pocket for blankets, etc. and three exterior pockets for extra storage (see first photo). 

Did I mention the backside yet? There's a long horizontal zippered pocket that included a changing pad, plus a smaller zippered compartment - great for keys or your iPhone.

This diaper bag has some seriously classy styling, with nice silver buckles and accent beads. I like that it doesn't look like a silly little diaper bag with pink hearts and bows - hey I'm not knocking it - to each their own!

Oops, did I forget to mention the two pockets for bottles or sippy cups on each side?  So, that makes 8 exterior pockets and 6 interior pockets, for a grand total of..........14 pockets!

Now, that's what I call a Diaper Bag!

Squeaky Clean Teeth! #OralBSponsored Review of Oral-B® Professional Precision 1000

You can find me talking about the importance of dental hygiene often - to my old clients (foster care teenagers), my friends and even on this blog.

However, I'm not the best at following through on my own advice. 

I will not tell you how long it's been since I've been to the dentist. 



Really, I'm not sharing. 

It's that bad.

I do, brush my teeth on a daily basis though - and have been known to floss a few times a week. Whew! Some of you were beginning to get scared.

I have never owned an electric toothbrush so was delighted when Modern Mom and Oral-B invited me to participate in a review of the Oral-B® Professional Precision 1000.

This thing is nuts. In a really good way!

So, this little guy doesn't take much set up. You pop on the top and a little plastic washer to make the head/body seal watertight and that's it! 

The toothbrush fits onto the SmartPlug charger really easily and you don't have to worry about water splashing onto the base or handle since it's waterproof! A little green light flashes when the toothbrush is charging and will indicate when it's ready to use.

The first time I used this toothbrush about two weeks ago, I was amazed. Seriously. My mouth and teeth felt like I had just come from the dentist's office. The oscillating, rotating and pulsating movements of the bristles, made my teeth squeaky clean.  At the end of my brushing session, I couldn't feel any plaque or food in my teeth at all, just smooth, plaque-free teeth!

Fussy Baby? Lamaze Pond Friends Crib Soother WORKS! [Review & Giveaway]

It's not easy having two babies in two years.

My most challenging task so far has been trying to put Big Sister H. down for her afternoon nap while Baby O. is awake.

I've managed to come up with a system that includes bouncing Baby O. in the bouncy seat with my foot while I rock Big Sister H. in the rocking chair.

I feel like a rock star [or rocking star?] when I can accomplish this task without too much trouble most days.

Recently, when bouncing doesn't seem like enough to keep Baby O. calm I've begun using the Lamaze Pond Friends Soother while trying to get her sister to nap.

I will set this crib soother on a lullaby (there are 3 choices) or the nature sounds and Baby O. will go into a little "baby trance" while staring at the soft light display on the screen.  It's just enough to keep her calm while I put Big Sister into her crib and slowly creep out of the room.

One important feature that I found handy, is the attachment system.  I've had crib toys before that had to be tied on or had complicated way to affix the toy to the crib. No thanks.

The Lamaze Pond Friends Soother has an easy strap that buckles on or off with one click. That way, when I'm done in Big Sister's room, I don't have to fumble with ties or snaps to take the soother with me. Just one click, and we're outta there!

I haven't tried this feature yet, but you can also attach your own MP3 player to the soother, to play your own favorite lullabies or music that the lights will respond to by flashing to the beat. Hey, you'll be teaching your baby a sense of rhythm while you're at it!

P.S. The crib soother has an auto off feature as well, so you don't have to worry about coming back into the room to turn it off!
