GIVEAWAY and Review - Boundless Nutrition Oatmega 3 Wellness Bars & Protein Cookies - ends 1/20/12

Talk about a power boost! Does your New Year's resolution include adding more exercise to your schedule? If it does, I've found some great products offered by Boundless Nutrition (and local for all you Texan readers) that will help you to accomplish your goal.

Oatmega3 Wellness Bars and Perfect FIT Protein Cookies, currently have a presence in the largest grocery chain in Texas (HEB) and are available at Central Market (my favorite store) and Whole Foods as well. The headquarters are based a short distance north of Austin, Texas.

Now, I'm not athlete myself, having given birth to my first child last year and being currently PREGNANT with my second (oops). However, my husband comes from a long line of Iron man contestants, marathon runners, fitness buffs and is in tip top shape.

So, in addition to trying them myself I also gave a few to my husband to test. You'd have to know my husband to realize that he's extremely picky when it comes to food & fitness products. If I send him to the store, he comes back with the best brands, gourmet picks and an empty wallet. He's been “into” fitness since he was in high school, making protein and whey shakes, taking supplements, etc. so he knows a good health product when he sees it. 

 

After letting him try the Oatmega 3 – Mocha Wellness Bar, he reported that it had great flavor, a nice mocha taste “without being overly sweet”, no fake saccharin taste, a “creamy texture inside” and that overall he was “pleasantly surprised” - like I said you'd have to know this guy to know that a positive review of ANYTHING is a huge deal. I was shocked at his positive response.

I tried a couple of the Perfect Fit Protein Cookies. They are individually packaged and a small manageable size that can fit in your purse for an extra protein kick when you're on the go. Sometimes I crave something a little sweet, but don't want the empty calories. This way, you can have your cookie and some great benefits too, with only 9 grams of sugar and 10 grams of protein it gives you just the boost you need to get to your next meal without splurging on something unhealthy!
