Make your weeknight meal special - with Bertolli Meal Soups for Two (I did)

I am one of those strange birds who actually likes to cook!  That being said, with a toddler under foot and one in the belly I'm not always at my best to get in the kitchen and whip up a fancy meal.

Bertolli must have heard my call, and has created Premium Bertolli Meal Soups, from the freezer to the bowl literally in minutes!

I was given a coupon to try one of the Bertolli Meal Soups for 2, and a challenge to "Make a Weeknight Meal Special."  Naturally, I was anxious to see if this frozen meal would stand up to some of my homemade soup creations.  I choose the Chicken Minestrone, I was pleasantly surprised as it was completely delicious!  

Simple to prepare, just open the bag and pour into a saucepan, add 1 cup of water, bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Seriously, that's it and it's done.  They must have some new way of flash freezing these veggies and ingredients so that they are still crisp, colorful and delicious after the trip from the store's freezer, to my pot and then bowl.

If you have a special night and not much time to prepare, your significant other would be pleased to have you set down a bowl of this piping hot, savory and comforting meal in front of them.  

Just add a candle to the table, throw a tablecloth on, and put some warm crusty french bread in a basket to make it feel like you're at a little romantic Italian restaurant (that's what I did) :-)
