Formaticum Cheese Paper Review & Giveaway - ends 5/10

It's still National Grilled Cheese Month here at McKinney Mommas (barely)......

So, we have a few more cheese-related giveaways and reviews to share with you all, if you aren't already sick of CHEESE. I know I'm not.

I found a fantastic product, called Formaticum Cheese Paper during my hunt for cheese-related items to review for National Grilled Cheese Month.

One of my biggest complaints about buying "fancy cheese", is that I never feel like I can store it properly. Once you unwrap that precious block of cheese, it never seems to keep it's original moisture or texture, does it?  I always end up throwing away that last bit of cheese and feel so guilty about it. Never again.

After receiving and using Formaticum Cheese Paper on my recent cheese samples, I'm convinced this is a product that meets my cheese storage needs and "protects my investments" when purchasing some of the higher priced cheeses.

The outer layer of cheese paper, is designed to protect and maintain the cheese's optimal humidity levels, simulating the cheese cave in which it was stored prior to purchasing the cheese. There is an inner porous layer of plastic, which allows the cheese to breathe, preventing moisture beads from settling on the surface.

My "fancy cheese" wrapped in Formaticum Cheese Paper
One package of Formaticum Cheese Papers is only $9.00 and includes (12) 11x14 sheets and 24 adhesive labels, you can use to identify the name of the cheese, style and date purchased. I have been showered with TONS of cheese samples this month, and am not even half way through my pack of cheese papers. Unless you're purchasing 1/2 wheels of cheese, on a regular basis, you'll be able to cut down the sheets to whatever size you'd like and make your collection of papers stretch!

  9. I learned that the paper has porous plastic which is the inner layer of protection. It allows the cheese to breathe while preventing moisture from accumulating on the surface therefore extending the life of the cheese. Thank you for this great giveaway.

  18. Coated paper is the outer layer of defense. It keeps the proper level of humidity within the wrap, simulating a cheese cave and preserving the cheese as the cheesemaker intended.
