My Visit To Astellas Executive Women's Day #HPBNC

Astellas Executive Women's Day is taking the PGA by storm!

Just a few weeks ago, I had the honor of attending Executive Women's Day presented by Astellas at the HP Byron Nelson Championship in Irving, TX!

The event was held on the gorgeous grounds of the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas (Irving, TX) just one day prior to the start of the #HPBNC on the PGA tour.

Check out my Google+ photo album of Astellas Women's Executive Day here!

The day started with a lovely breakfast, and panel discussion from local female business executives, including:

- Kellie Fischer, Executive Vice President & CFO, Texas Rangers
- Susan Abrahamson, President, SearchCom, Inc.
- Regina Montoya, Sr. Vice President & General Counsel, Children's Medical Center of Dallas
- Holly Reed, Regional Vice President of External Affairs, AT&T

The panel of women, experts in their respective fields of business, candidly shared their professional triumphs and setbacks with the group of nearly 200 female attendees, who were also local business executives from the DFW area.

After the panel discussion and breakfast, we received an insiders view of the HP Byron Nelson Championship with an exclusive "Behind the Scenes" tour - including the media room (pictured above), the ShotLink system, Hall of Champions and more.

Keynote Speaker Astellas

I thoroughly enjoyed the keynote speaker during lunch, Molly Fletcher aka. "the female Jerry Maguire," who passionately presented five keys to unleashing your potential, both personally and professionally.  I really identified with her determination to balance family and work life.

All of the women executives that I met and spoke with were similarly inspired and motivated by Fletcher's challenge to move beyond our comfort zones and "lean into the change."

Of course, what's a day at the PGA tour without some wine and cheese?  The "Wine Down Network Up" sponsored by Get Golf Ready, was a great way to casually meet and network with other local female business executives while enjoying the view of the green.

There were golf professionals on hand to share tips and show some of us newbies to the game how to stand, hold the golf club and putt.

I was totally inspired to take up the game of golf after this tour. Now, if only I could find a babysitter and some clubs.

At the end of the day, I had a wonderful experience, relaxing, recharging and receiving some much needed inspiration at this event.

Keep your ears and eyes open to see if Astellas Women's Executive Day is stopping at a town near you.......a little birdie told me D.C. is the next stop (AT&T National, anyone?).
