Baby your Baby's Teeth - Baby Banana Brush Review & GIVEAWAY - ends 2/13/12

Baby teeth are baby teeth, they're going to fall out anyway, right?  Well, right but starting your kid early on brushing their teeth and taking care of their dental hygiene will set them up for years of healthy habits as they mature.

Plus, it's not only teeth that need to stay healthy, it's the gums too that can develop disease if not properly cared for. Knowing this, I bought a small toddler sized (regular style) toothbrush when my little one had gotten her first two teeth.

The first thing I noticed, was that she wanted to carry the toothbrush around herself. Obviously, at this age I'm not going to be able to get a full 5 minute brushing session in, so the longer she "tries" to brush herself the better.

Being that she had just started walking, she was prone to fall and this hard plastic toothbrush was a hazard just waiting to happen. So, the moment she got up with the toothbrush and started to walk, I'd have to take it away, to the tune of many tears.

Baby Banana Brush by Live-Right, offers the solution to pediatric dental care.  This baby toothbrush, was invented by a dental hygienist in response to the exact situation I was describing above (toddlers & oral injures). I was curious to see if there really was a difference between standard children's toothbrushes and the Original Baby Banana Brush, and was given the opportunity to try one out with my daughter.

My little peanut opens the Baby Banana Brush for the first time

Wow, my daughter loves this toothbrush!  It's soft and flexible, made from medical grade silicone so on the off chance she does fall, there is less risk of injury to her precious mouth. The Banana brush can double as a teething device, by putting in the freezer, and is durable enough to be sanitized in the dishwasher!  The Original Banana Brush is recommended for babies 12-24 months.

She tries the Baby Banana Brush - and LOVES IT!

My 12 month old was instantly intrigued and excited about this Baby Banana Brush, and now wants to brush her teeth before bed every night. She even tries to brush mommy's teeth!

  7. I bet this one tastes like a real banana, and that's why she loves it. Haha! Well that combination of a teether and a toothbrush is pretty neat. I'm sure she'd be able to take better care of her teeth with that.

  8. Kids are attracted to products like this, thus giving them the chance to take an active stance in taking care of their teeth at a young age. Cheers to the manufacturers of this product and I hope they have an apple toothbrush also. Hehe! I’m pretty sure that my daughter will love her toothbrush if it looked like an apple. :)
