The only local fair trade store in McKinney, TX, Fair and Square Imports is hosting a Fair Trade Oriental Rug Event during the month of March.
A bunch of hand-knotted rugs will be delivered to Fair and Square Imports, from a group that helps Christian and Muslim adults in Pakistan make a fair living wage to provide for their families and communities by making these rugs.

WHAT:
- Fair Trade Oriental Rug Sale: Rugs range from 2’x3’ to 10‘x14’. Runners range from 6’ to over 13’. Most rugs have considerably high knot counts.

ReplyDeleteThanks for posting about the rug event at Fair & Square in McKinney. We already own several of these rugs and just love how they have handled family life over the years. In spite of spills, kids and dogs the rugs look brand new.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post.I think that Persian rugs are a quintessential part of Persian culture, with a rich history, and nothing short of an art form. It is a woven quilt of sorts that covers a section of a floor or the ground.
