My Happy Place.......

Do you have a happy place?  One that you go to when you're feeling in need of a lift or pick-me-up?

Since I'm closing in on my 40th week of being pregnant (p.s. God, if you're listening...I'm done...can you help this little peanut make her way out now, Thanks) I've been thinking a lot about my happy place, so I can "transport" myself there when in the thick of labor pains.

The first place that comes to mind for me is Maui, Hawaii.  It's one of the first destination vacations I took with my family when I was a young teenager.  When I think of my happy place, I can see the swaying palms in my head, beautiful sandy beaches, smell the jasmine lei around my neck and taste the delicious fresh caught, grilled fish straight from the ocean!

Feel free to "borrow" my happy place, anytime you are in need of a pick-me-up, or for a quick fix grab a bag of Haribo Gold-Bears (gummi candy) and you'll be in a happy place in no time.

Both mine and my husband's family were raised with Haribo Gummi Gold-Bears as a special treat.  So even though I'm an adult now, my hubby will on occasion bring a bag of these home from the store and we both are transported to our childhood, to a carefree and easy going time.
