Dear, McKinney Mommas readers,
If you hadn't noticed already I've been MIA for the past few days.
.........and THIS is the reason why............
WELCOME to the world, Baby McKinney #2!
Our little one, we'll call her "Baby O", was born on July 12th, 2012 at 2:05pm, just one day after due date and a mere 16 hours of active labor. This McKinney Momma did it the second time around ALL NATURAL!
Whew that was SOME hard work!
So far, Baby O's interests include:
- Nursing: (my nursing iPhone app says "an average of every 1 hour and 6 minutes, for 12 minute durations")
- Crying: I sure don't remember Baby #1 crying quite this much for diaper changes, burping sessions, etc. We'll see....
- and.....being pretty darn cute just about all of the time
Also stay tuned for cool newborn and infant related reviews and giveaways here at McKinney Mommas all summer long in celebration of the new addition to our family!
Congratulations! She is absolutely beautiful! I had four kids in five years. I guess I got addicted! :) Kids are amazing, and their love and devotion to each other never stops being heartwarming...the fighting gets old, though. :) Enjoy every minute of it!

@Dee - Thank you so much. Now if I can only get her to sleep longer than an hour at a time at night.....wish me luck!
DeleteAre you using a white noise machine? Even just a fan blowing away from them usually works well. Mine passed right out when they would hear the fan. As a matter of fact, so do I! I fall asleep to the fan every night.

Thanks for the heads up Dee! We've been running the bathroom fan the past few nights and it seems to help! :-)
DeleteVery cool! It supposedly mimics the sound they hear in the womb. I know that I love white noise, too!
