Here in the McKinney Mommas household, we try to eat as healthy as possible on a regular basis.
Sure, we may cheat here and there but in general, we try to keep our diet balanced and most of our meals geared towards being heart healthy.
Heart Healthy meals typically include:
- Lots of fruits and vegetables (full of fiber, vitamins and minerals)
- Healthy unsaturated fats (from olive oil, nuts, avocado)
- Low sodium
- Omega 3
Of course adding some extra movement (aka. exercise) is also a good prescription for a healthy heart.
