Happy 4th of July.....just waiting on BB #2

Happy 4th of July!

Well, my message may be a bit late, it's after 11:00pm here in Texas but I figured holidays are for spending with family, not with the computer, right?!

I've been debating on whether or not to completely take the weekends off from blogging, I've seen many blogs denote themselves as "Family-friendly" blogs which means they don't post on the weekends.

I'm not sure if I'll do that, but at least I feel justified in not having to post on holidays...or at least not until my little peanut is in dreamland on holidays (like she is now).

I hope YOU ALL had a great holiday and were able to spend your day with the ones you love.

I did!

It's only 7 days until my due date, so it wasn't easy but I lugged my big butt and belly onto the floor and did a "4th of July" craft with my 17 month old today.

It's supposed to be FIREWORKS!  But, I think it looks a little closer to "blinged out" Red, White and Blue Turkeys. Either way, it was a simple but fun little craft - tracing her hand multiple times with different colored paper and then letting her glue and glitter the heck out of them.

And.... since she wasn't quite ready to be done with crafts, I let her make her own fireworks on my very pregnant belly. Don't worry, it was all non-toxic and washable!

I will leave you with this disturbing photo of my 39 week pregnant belly, and if I am MIA in the next week or two....you can expect I've had a little bambino......

Don't fret, because I will return soon and all summer long will be posting reviews and giveaways related to infant products and "big sister" gear to celebrate our "Welcome, Baby McKinney" event!

TBA.....sometime in the next 2 weeks!

  2. You have fireworks all over your baby bump! Ha! I remember being pregnant full term and in July! It was hot and miserable, and so was I.

  3. I can't wait to "meet" the new baby! I hadn't noticed blogs not posting on the weekends, but it sounds like a good idea. I tend to post late at night when everyone in bed because I don't want it to take away from family time. Congratulations!
